Well it seems my curiosity was answered here ! You did manage to have another angle ! I really don't know if it would work but I would suggest to try a layer mask with only the mountain and castle selected on overlay mode, unsaturated and of about 10-20 opacity. Maybe it would make it less smoky but I really don't know...
