Brackendale & Stanley Park Photo Walks

With some free time on my hands today, I connected with my friend Danielle and headed under clear blue skies for Brackendale, just past Squamish, BC. Brackendale is known for its population of Bald Eagles in the winter months of December and January, and having made the trip up to photograph the eagles back in 2007 and knew what kind of treat we were in for.… Continue

Masey,
thanks for your recent comments on my landscapr pictures.
The Mesa Arch is in the Canyonlands N.P. not too far from Moab.
During sunrise many photographers meet here every morning to make the
famous shot.

Thanks very much for your comment on my picture "Niesen". Visiting the Jungfrau (Top of Europe) is nice, but I actually prefer location like these where you have a much better view of the Swiss Alps. Cheers

You MUST post the picture from mutton busting, where the little guy has hit the dirt.......... I literally laughed out loud. Man, I miss those days. Really great work. We always struggled, because our rodeo was at night. We never had decent light to shoot.

Thanks for sharing the specs Rob. I see that I can take my f stop up higher, not sure that I went over 10... I'll have to take a peek. Donnie says I'm crazy when I tell him that I'm not happy with the sharpness I guess, he can't understand where I'm coming from. I will be sure he sees your snowboarders. ( mind you, he's blind as a bat ! lol )

none the less, I can't seem to be happy with my "what should be sharp " images.

I'm going to read up on calibrating long lenses... can't help but wonder if that could be my issue.

all the best !
